But then she posted a very vulnerable post in the Social Method Society Facebook group, where she admitted that she was feeling awful that she was going to resign and put her manager in a bad position. After leaning on her Society Sisters and hearing all of their support, she felt ready to resign.

>> [11:00] Resigning from her corporate job has changed everything for Soraya. She does more for her business, she feels more confident, and she’s so excited for her businesses future now that she has more time to truly focus on her biz.

SORAYA’S MINDSET SHIFTS:

>> [12:27] Soraya had to do a lot of deep work on her mindset and the foundation of her business before taking the leap to resign from her coroporate job and going all in on her business. She wrote down all of her goals and imagined herself a year from now, expressing with gratitude.

>> [14:30] If you’d like to do a scripting exercise, write down what you’re ideal day looks like as the future you. Write it in the present tense and bring in that gratitude so that you make it become more possible. Whatever you focus on, expands.

>> [16:35] What has caused this big shift for Soraya?

• She’s shifted from a limited mindset to a growth mindset.
• Soraya is thinking big.
• She believes success is inevitable.
• Soraya is also embracing going out of her comfort zone more.

• Soraya loves using IG stories, even though she used to be self-conscious about her french accent, but now she is loving all the positive returns of using IG.

USING ETSY:

>> [22:26] Soraya runs her business predominantly through Etsy, but it’s really no different than selling through your own website. You still need a brand, coherent shop, product line, a marketing plan, etc. What are Soraya’s three best tips for selling on Etsy?

• Make sure you use quality photos.
• Use long-tail keywords in your title, description and tags.
• Try having a minimum of fifteen listings so the first page is full.
