MWH Spotlight with Casey Patch of Little Life Long Learners

Welcome to the blog Casey from Little Life Long Learners! We’re thrilled to have you here sharing your journey on the MWH Spotlight!

Describe yourself in 3 words

Passionate, Creative, Organised

How do you juggle being a Mum and having a biz?

I try to be as organised as I can! Every Sunday night, I sit down and write out my plan for the week in my Bullet Journal. First I write in some play activities and outings for my toddler and 8 month old because they are my main priority! Then I plan out the business side of things. Thinking about my top four priorities for the week helps keep me organised and focused!

Tell us about your biz and WHY you do what you do

I provide passionate early years educators and parents with engaging activities, resources and ideas for their little learners!

Sensory Play and hands-on learning are two areas that I am very passionate about. I know that little learners are most engaged when they are learning through hands-on, play-based learning experiences, so I love to share my ideas with other educators and parents!

I want teachers and parents to be able to head to my website and find activities and lessons that they can use with their little learners right away!

If you could go back in time and offer advice to your former entrepreneur-self what would you say?

Focus your time on setting a solid foundation for your business! Go slowly and focus on one thing at a time. Build honest relationships with your audience and the sales will follow.

What does success mean to you?

I think you are successful when you know you have helped or inspired someone!
Hearing that I have saved a teacher soooo much time with her planning makes me feel successful. Or a quick email from a parent who has their baby’s first artwork displayed proudly in their office at work after seeing an idea I posted on Pinterest.
There is nothing more rewarding than knowing you have helped make somebody else’s life just that little bit easier or brighter!

What has been your hardest lesson learned?

That you don’t need to be everything to everyone. For a long time, I wanted everyone to love everything that I did in my business. It’s totally okay for people not to dig what you’re doing because not every single person is your ideal customer!

Finish this sentence – If I wasn’t my own boss right now I’d be…

Working as a teacher. I absolutely love teaching and miss the classroom SO much…but I am so grateful that I can be at home with my two little loves while running a business that lights me up every single day!

What are you most proud of to date?

My Sensory Play for your Little Learners eBook! Ever since I had my daughter in 2014, I reeeally wanted to write an eBook with my sensory play ideas. It took 2 years but I finally launched it at the beginning of this year and I am so proud of myself!
