MWH 207 : She Made $27K In One Month Using Instagram with Daniella Frayman

She Made $27K In One Month Using Instagram with Daniella Frayman

I’m quite excited about today’s podcast episode because we’re going to be chatting with someone who smashed her goal and made $27K in sales in only one month using Instagram.

Today’s guest is Daniella Frayman! Daniella is a Member of the Social Method Society, a mum of two boys and the owner of Threads for Boys – an online store for cool boys’ clothing and accessories. She is fueled by coffee and a desire to revolutionize boys fashion.

During this episode, Daniella is going to discuss some of her biggest self limiting beliefs and how she overcame them, how she had a $27K month on Instagram, and how she went from being scared of live video to embracing it!

Let’s get into it!

Key Takeaways:

>> [0:35] My name is Tracy Harris. I’m the founder and CEO of Mums With Hustle, the Founder of the Social Method Society. It my absolute joy and purpose to help women create businesses that they absolutely love without them being all consumed by their business.

>> [1:00] I’m thrilled to introduce you to today’s podcast guest because you may recognize her from a previous blog that I shared a couple years ago when she was featured as a Mums With Hustle Spotlight. I remembered that she described herself in three words. Those words were “introvert, passionate, and hot headed.”

>> [1:42] I have had the pleasure of watching her become more comfortable on video while also incorporating herself into her brand, and I’ve definitely seen her fiery passion for growing her business.

>> [2:00] Today's guest is Daniella Frayman! Daniella is a Member of the Social Method Society, a mum of two boys and the owner of Threads for Boys – an online store for cool boys’ clothing and accessories. She is fueled by coffee and a desire to revolutionize boys fashion.

>> [2:17] During this episode, Daniella is going to discuss some of her biggest self limiting beliefs and how she overcame them, how she had a $27K month on Instagram, and how she went from being scared of live video to embracing it!

>> [6:30] Daniella’s business began as an eBay store where she didn’t have a niche or general direction. She was only looking for something to do from home! She used her frustration of never being able to find boy’s clothes she liked to carve her own space in the niche.

>> [10:12] You get to control the pace of business for the season that you’re in.

>> [11:58] Daniella has overcome some big limiting beliefs in order to have the business that she has today.

Daniella’s Self-Limiting Beliefs

  • “Who am I to run a retail business?“ She thought this because she had no previous retail knowledge or having ever worked in retail.
  • When Daniella just started Threads For Boys, a lot of agency/brands would not take her seriously. She was told that having a boys only store was not feasible.
  • Daniella was not in business for the money. She was passionate and believed in her vision.

>> [14:40] Don’t use your lack of experience as an excuse to not chase your dream and build your business. Everything is “figureoutable.”

>> [16:00] Daniella loves a challenge. She has always wanted to be the go-to store for boys clothing and she knew there were mums of boys who wanted a place to buy clothing for their boys. She is still learning the retail world and she’s constantly having to find what works and doesn’t.

Going Live on Instagram

>> [17:45] About a year ago, Daniella came into the Social Method Society’s private Facebook Group and shared a win that she had just gone live on Instagram and Facebook. She was so scared, but she did it! Now, she’s always showing up on video on Instagram. A lot of people let fear stop them from doing anything in life and business.

How has Daniella moved through those Instagram video fears?

  • Daniella knew that if she wasn’t doing video that she would get left behind.
  • Once she says she’s going to do something she generally does it.
  • She made sure she wrote out dot points of what she was going to say and pressed that LIVE button!
  • Daniella switched her language from: “I hate video” to “I love video”.

>> [22:36] When you’re just starting out in business, there’s so much to keep in mind. That’s why we love giving our Members the structures they need so it lightens their mental load.

Instagram Challenges

>> [26:04] In the Social Method Society, we like to host some challenges. One of our infamous challenges is the Make Money On Instagram Now Challenge, which you participated in last round. You set a goal to make $19K worth of sales, and you smashed that goal by $8K! That's massive!

>> [27:15] Daniella tends to downplay her successes, so she’s now journaling so she can stop downplaying her achievements.

>> [32:05] Something I really love about Daniella is that she’s not afraid to ask questions so that you can continue to grow your business. She shows up in the Society and is very open to coaching!

>> [33:12] Daniella still finds it difficult to ask for help in her life. This is a vulnerability issue that she is continually working through. There is something about her business that makes her want/need to “make it work” and the only way to do that is to ask and learn from others.

>> [34:16] The opportunity is bigger than the fear. No fear is big enough to stop Daniella from working through the issues she may have along the way.

>> [36:02] There’s always something happening for Daniella and Thread For Boys. You can catch up with Daniella on Instagram @threadsforboys_.

>> [37:16] If you’re considering starting an e-commerce store, do your research first. Know your niche and who you want to serve. It doesn’t matter if someone else is doing it as long as you can do it differently or better.

>> [38:06] Huge thank you to Daniella for joining me on this episode of the Mums With Hustle Podcast! I can’t wait to watch you continue to smash your goals and excel at our monthly challenges in the Social Method Society.
