I am always talking about the power of IG, Instagram Stories, and how you can use the Gram to build the business of your dreams so that you can be more present in your family, travel to wherever your heart desires, retire your husband, raise your children on your own terms through the income your business is generating simply by using Instagram.

During today’s episode, I’m going to be sharing with you the IDEAL Instagram Stories length and structure so that you can start showing up on Instagram with confidence and purpose.

>> [2:32] It can feel like you’re talking to yourself when you show up on Instagram Stories, and on top of that negative feeling… you can get really tongue tied. And then if you actually posted to your Stories, you wonder if anyone is really watching it!

>> [4:04] Recently, Instagram has made the improvement for users to be able to record up to a minute worth of content. So what is the most ideal length for your Instagram Stories? The ideal length is 4×15 second clips (one minute long!), but up to 8×15 second clips.

>> [8:02] You need to pay attention to your Instagram Stories Analytics. This will help you understand if your audience is liking what you’re putting out.

How To Access Your Instagram Stories Analytics:

  • When you view your IG Stories, tap on the number of views.
  • This will open a whole new set of analytics.
  • Pay attention to the views in your specific Stories set.
  • You want to retain these viewers to through the end of the Stories. Are you able to do this? Look at the drop off rate or exit rate of viewers. If that number is decreasing significantly, it means your audience isn’t really watching.
  • When your audience watches all the way through, you are building relationships!

>> [11:01] You need to also pay attention to if people are sharing your Instagram Stories, tapping back (that means you’ve done something and they couldn’t get enough of it the first time), or replying to your Stories. Those are all really great indicators that your audience is loving what you’re putting out.
